A definite conversation starter for the set dinner table. These little rests are placed on the side of the plate to rest your chopsticks upon to prevent stains on the table or tablecloth. Of course it can also be used for a fork, knife, or as a what we in Sweden call "smörtax", a butter knife rest. This rest is crafted in a mixture of different darker clays and raw materials, and finished with a matte white glaze. The glaze interacts with the materials in the clay, creating a spotted dark brown pattern.
