A definite conversation starter for the set dinner table. These little rests are placed on the side of the plate to rest your chopsticks upon to prevent stains on the table or tablecloth. Of course it can also be used for a fork, knife, or as a what we in Sweden call "smörtax", a butter knife rest. 

This rest is crafted in a dark greige clay body, and is finished with a matte light grey glaze. On this particular clay the glaze gets more variations in color. The glaze I have developed myself, and it is mixed in the studio from scratch using an array of different raw materials.
