Crinkle vase No° 1

This highly detailed vase is handcrafted in several steps using different techniques. First, a round inner vase is thrown on the wheel. A thinly rolled out slab of clay is thereafter draped over the base, dressing it in a crinkled layer. The piece is then finished by sculpting and blending the edges, giving it its final look. The vase is fired and coated in a soft matte light beige glaze with tiny darker speckles. Works just as well with flowers as it does a decoration on its own.
