Crinkle vase No° 7

This detailed vase is handcrafted in several steps using different techniques. First, a round inner vase is thrown on the wheel. A thinly rolled out slab of clay is thereafter draped over the base, dressing it in a crinkled layer. The piece is then finished by sculpting and blending the edges, giving it its final look. The vase is coated in satin matte black glaze, and then finally fired. Works just as well with flowers as it does a decoration on its own.
