Fluted vase / utensil holder - Creamy beige

This piece can be used for storing utensils on the kitchen counter or as a vase. The tall form is thrown on the wheel before being trimmed and finally carved by hand all around. The piece is finished with a matte glaze that allows the ridges to shine through and contrast. The clay used for this piece contains lava flecks that also show through the glaze, giving even more detail to the piece. The glaze I have developed myself, and it is mixed in the studio from scratch from raw materials.
