Serving bowl - Raw / white

This bowl is perfect for serving salads or snacks. This piece is made using the slab technique, where the clay is rolled out and shaped by hand. It is crafted in a beige coarse groggy clay which is left unglazed on the outside and finished with a glossy white glaze on the inside. The bowl has characteristic flushes of a darker toasted color on the outside from the firing.

Please note that the raw exterior is more prone to staining when coming in contact with e.g. highly pigmented foods and oils than glazed areas are. Be mindful of this if you want to keep it pristine, otherwise the surface will slowly become subtly patinated over time.
